Picker is registered by the Charity Commission for England and Wales, and The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.
Our formal charitable objects are:
- to promote public health for the benefit of the community, in particular by improving standards of treatment and care for patients of healthcare services;
- to advance education in healthcare, in particular by the provision of training for healthcare professionals in communication skills; and
- to advance education in healthcare, in particular by developing research tools and undertaking research into patients’ perspectives of healthcare services, and to publish the useful results of the same for the public benefit.
These apply wherever we work in the world, and shape our day-to-day work in the European region.
Picker is governed by a Board of Trustees, to whom the Chief Executive and executive team report.
