Amy has a PhD in psychopharmacology from the University of Leeds. As Head of Research, Amy is responsible for managing and building a diverse portfolio of research projects to facilitate the delivery of high-quality health and social care. She has designed and delivered projects to understand care delivery from patient and staff perspectives, and regularly shares findings at events, conferences and via research papers.
Amy is part of the Quality, Safety and Outcomes Policy Research Unit, a collaboration between Picker, Universities of Kent and Oxford, and LSHTM that produces research to improve the quality and outcomes of the health and social care system. She has published research in peer-reviewed journal articles, such as a BMJ Open paper published in 2019 to understand the experiences and supportive care needs of pancreatic cancer patients, and a 2018 paper describing the development of a new survey to understand sickle cell care.
